South Australia Tourism Plan 2030

A refreshed South Australia Tourism Plan 2030 reaffirms an ambitious goal to grow the State’s visitor economy to $12.8 billion and support a further 4,400 jobs by 2030. 

The Plan targets 20,200 weekly international airline seats by 2030, an increase of 6,300 – equivalent to 327,600 seats annually.

The Plan also includes an ambition for the State to be a national leader in sustainable and inclusive tourism – with a series of pilot initiatives to be developed in 2025. 

Developed with input from more than 400 industry stakeholders across all 12 tourism regions, the Plan maps out a way forward for the industry, including leveraging the new State tourism brand and campaign Celebrate the Simple Pleasures.

South Australian Regional Visitor Strategy 2025

South Australia’s tourism regions have a bold plan to grow the state’s regional visitor expenditure to $4.0 Billion by 2025.

The 2025 RVS outlines eight strategic pillars that apply across regions, critical to the success of SA’s visitor economy. Each of the 11 tourism regions has a set of regional response priorities which serve as an action plan for the RVS steering committee to work with regional tourism organisations, local councils and key stakeholders to drive outcomes. 

SATC Sustainability Roadmap

The South Australian Tourism Commission (SATC) Sustainability Roadmap aims to consolidate actions to be delivered by the agency to support sustainable tourism development in the State. This document outlines influencing external factors, and highlights the SATC’s approach, goals and measurable actions to continue this important work.

SA International Tourism Strategy 2025

Worth a record $1.2 billion pre-COVID, the loss of international tourists for nearly two years was felt keenly across our sector. This plan identifies the key global markets the SATC will focus on and the marketing activities to be undertaken to attract international visitors, particularly the High Value Traveller and Working Holiday Makers.
