Free webinar for South Australian events industry
Events South Australia
Joined by SA Health Deputy Chief Public Medical Officer, Dr Chris Lease
The South Australian events industry is invited to join Events South Australia for a free webinar to hear directly from SA Health about the impacts of COVID-19 on the delivery of events and festivals in our state.
It has been an incredibly challenging year for this usually-bustling sector as events have had to be postponed or cancelled. It has been heartening to see some events begin to come back online, including the Adelaide Hills' Winter Reds festival held last month, the SALA Festival which kicked off over the weekend, as well as the return of crowds at the Adelaide Oval for AFL games, although I note there are some expected changes to capacity limits.
Our Events South Australia team is in constant communication with SA Health and is working hard to support our state's events industry through this time.
Following feedback from the events industry, the Events South Australia team is hosting a free webinar this Thursday. You may have already received an invitation directly from Events South Australia executive director Hitaf Rasheed; and I welcome you to share this invitation with your event colleagues who may benefit from this session.
Deputy Chief Public Health Officer, Dr Chris Lease, will provide an update on COVID-19 in South Australia, and be available to answer some of your questions relating to the delivery of events and festivals in South Australia.
When: Thursday, 6 August 2020
Time: 3pm – 4.30pm
