EOIs open for Experience Development Program, LIV Golf Adelaide tees off, & more…

Continuing to evolve and develop new tourism products is critical to our industry’s growth, so I am pleased to share expressions of interest are now open for the third intake of our Experience Development Program.
This program provides tourism operators with the tools to develop and sell world-class tourism offerings across South Australia. If you have an idea for an innovative tourism experience or product, get your EOI in by Friday, 28 February.
To date, this program has provided 42 tourism businesses with the ability to develop a clear plan to take their innovative product ideas to market, as well as form new business relationships and collaborative partnerships.
Over summer we have ramped up our always-on domestic marketing campaign, inspiring visitors to explore more of our tourism regions. This includes a focus on the key self-drive market, as these visitors tend to stay longer and explore more. Promotion across owned, digital, and traditional media channels will continue through autumn and features newly captured video and imagery of every one of our regional tourism areas encouraging consumers to find events and experiences worthy of a road trip. Adelaide has been painted LIV! Our hotels, bars and restaurants are in full swing as the international golfing tournament is set to welcome 100,000 people through the gates from today until Sunday. This is anticipated to be the biggest LIV Golf event in history, and we are making the most of it by promoting our travel destinations to visitors here and the millions of viewers worldwide. We have already been hearing incredible feedback from some of the world’s best golfers, as well as fans.
It’s something that we already knew, but South Australia has now been named as one of the top 10 Most Welcoming Regions on Earth in Booking.com's annual Traveller Review Awards destination list for 2025. The listing is based on more than 360 million verified customer reviews and honours travel partners who consistently deliver outstanding hospitality and service. Another major win in the awards was Port Lincoln being named as one of the 10 Most Welcoming Cities in Australia.
Today, Tasting Australia presented by Journey Beyond revealed even more drool-worthy events to its program, which runs from 2-11 May. These include a table styling masterclass with iconic Australian homewares brand In the Roundhouse, Sunday Supper Club in Town Square and an afternoon of Lawn Bowls with Justin James and other South Australian stars at the Sturt Bowling Club.
