Ballot opens soon – Great State Experiences Voucher

The next round of our Great State Voucher program kicks off tomorrow – with almost 250 operators across the state signed up to provide a world-class selection of hosted tours and experiences.

From single-day to overnight tours, the array of experiences on offer showcase some of the best of South Australia’s most eclectic, innovative and iconic tourism operators.

As you may have heard, this time we have moved to a randomised ballot system – which means from 9am tomorrow – through to 10pm, Friday 23 April – you can register to secure a $50, 100 or $200 voucher.

And we have a great selection to choose from – in the CBD and across the regions. Try a Segway tour, a guided tour of the iconic Central Market, Adelaide Oval roof climbs, a ‘ghost tour’ of the old Adelaide gaol, canoeing along the River Torrens or a panda experience at the Adelaide Zoo. And head out into the regions for shark cage diving, swimming with sealions, multi-day tours of the Murray River or the Outback, snorkelling, stand-up paddle boarding, gin making, wine masterclasses or cooking schools.

The third round follows two previous voucher rounds targeted at accommodation across SA – which saw over 62,000 room night bookings created and a flow-on of more than $32 million spent in the state’s visitor economy.

We’ve heard from operators that both rounds one and two had a significant impact. Our focus this time is on hosted tour and experience operators – a sector that has been hit particularly hard by the downturn in international and interstate visitation.

We are giving South Australians the chance to experience SA like they never have before – to tell their friends and get even more people booking up with local tour and experience operators.

I want to thank all of the participating operators, and I hope this – our latest targeted stimulus package – drives positive outcomes for your business.

I encourage you to log on from any time during the ballot opening period – and share this news with your networks.
