Jayne Flaherty is a strategic communications practitioner with expertise in corporate affairs, marketing communications, government relations, advocacy, stakeholder relations and community engagement.
Ms Flaherty has led communications functions within the public sector and for a range of iconic South Australian businesses, including RAA, BankSA and ASC. She is the Executive Director, Strategic Communications for the South Australian Department of the Premier and Cabinet.
Ms Flaherty has sector experience in tourism, defence, transport, financial services, disability and human services. She is a non-executive director of South Australian Tourism Commission, an advisory board member of the University of South Australia’s Business School and a council member of the Centre for Economic Development Australia (SA) Advisory Council.
She has a Masters in Communication Management, a Masters in Marketing and a Graduate Certificate in Social Media Management from the University of South Australia, a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology and Cultural Studies) from the University of Adelaide and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Ms Flaherty has also lectured in public relations at the University of South Australia.
