Tasting Australia announces RAA Travel as presenting partner

Tasting Australia and the Marshall Government welcomes RAA Travel to the event family today, as presenting partner of the event for the next three years.
Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment, David Ridgway said we are thrilled to have RAA on board as the presenting partner for Tasting Australia, one of Australia’s longest-running food and wine festivals.
‘Tasting Australia presented by RAA Travel’ is the perfect partnership to grow this event into the future, driving more interstate and overseas visitation to South Australia, further strengthening the state’s visitor economy and creating more jobs.
“This is wonderful news for foodie fans who travel from interstate and overseas for a taste of some of the best food and wine experiences to be in had in South Australia.
“This year the event was a huge success attracting 64,000 visitors to Town Square and injecting a massive $5.5 million into our economy.
“We currently have a $7.6 billion visitor economy and premium events like this will further drive this economic growth and create more jobs.
“With more than 740,000 members, RAA is one of our state’s largest and oldest organisations, it is iconic.
“We are excited about building on the synergy between food, wine and travel and this partnership provides us with that opportunity.
RAA General Manager Travel Gina Norman, said that RAA Travel achieved 100 per cent revenue growth for its Experience SA program in 2018-19 and the partnership with Tasting Australia aimed to further cement RAA’s reputation as a leading SA travel expert.
“RAA is really excited about our new partnership with Tasting Australia. We can see the synergies between our two brands and believe together we can bring both the event and RAA Travel to a broader audience,” said Ms Norman.
“Through the Tasting Australia program, RAA Travel will be able to offer SA and interstate visitors seamless opportunities to extend their South Australian adventures.
“We want more South Australians to explore their own backyard.”
RAA Travel is South Australia’s fourth largest travel agency with 600 products across 400 South Australia tourism experience providers on their menu to serve more than 6.000 travelers in SA per year.
Festival Director, Simon Bryant welcomed RAA Travel to Tasting Australia, reconfirming the importance of private sector partnerships.
“We as a Festival are always happy to welcome another iconic South Australian brand to our table where there is strong alignment,” said Simon Bryant.
“Corporate partnerships and sponsorship are critical to the ongoing growth of our event. I am excited and looking forward to working with RAA Travel to share their story.”
The Tasting Australia presented by RAA Travel event program will be released on 5 December 2019.
