South Australia on show to thousands of caravanners and campers

From today, the 2024 Let's Go Caravan, Camping & Outdoor Show will inspire an expected more than 25,000 potential visitors to hit the road to discover more of regional South Australia.
For the first time, the five-day event is supported by the State Government through the South Australian Tourism Commission in an effort target the valuable self-drive market and further aid the state’s flood recovery.
Latest Tourism Research Australia data shows 89 per cent of domestic caravan and camping trips are to regional areas across the nation.
Helping drive visitors to South Australia’s Murray River regions, this year’s program will feature stalls and live talking sessions dedicated to showcasing operators across the Riverland and Murray River, Lakes & Coorong.
The Let's Go Road Trips Pavilion will feature a dedicated Murray River exhibition where potential visitors can get first-hand tips and advice from operators to learn more about what makes the Riverland and Murray River, Lakes & Coorong regions ideal for caravan and camping trips.
A five-part ‘Magic of the Mighty Murray’ discussion series will also feature tourism operators from across the river regions as part of the SATC sponsored Road Trips Stage.
This year’s printed program for the Let's Go Caravan, Camping & Outdoor Show will further promote the state, with a full-page highlighting the upcoming third round of the SATC’s River Revival Voucher initiative encouraging eventgoers to register in the ballot when it opens next week. A second page will inspire visitors to discover the Murray River regions in the cooler months, with or without a voucher.
Sweetening the key industry event this year, the SATC’s recently launched bakery bags will be front and centre, serving up bakery goods over the five days and enticing travellers to taste more of regional South Australia. Part of SATC’s existing road trip campaign, the custom bakery bags encourage potential road trippers to visit southaustralia.com/road-trips for holiday inspiration, maps and itineraries of the state’s six iconic road trips which highlight the best of South Australia.
Exhibitors helping showcase South Australia as a must-do self-drive holiday include Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary, Australian Native Food Co., Canoe the Coorong, Turkey Flat Vineyards, Kilsby Sinkhole & Accommodation, and more.
The 2024 Let's Go Caravan, Camping & Outdoor Show is on from 14 to 18 February.
Minister for Tourism, Zoe Bettison said thousands of potential visitors will see South Australia at every turn at the 2024 Let's Go Caravan, Camping & Outdoor Show this week.

"We know caravan parks in particular were significantly impacted by the once-in-a-century flooding event last summer, and this is another way we are helping drive visitation and spend into their businesses and showcasing our state’s mighty Murray to an engaged audience," Minister Bettison.
"What perfect timing to be supporting a key caravan and camping industry event and targeting the valuable self-drive market, with the ballot for the third round of our River Revival Voucher program opening next week."
Canoe the Coorong Owner/Tour Guide, Brenton Carle said the Let's Go Caravan, Camping & Outdoor show is a great opportunity for tourism operators such as Canoe the Coorong to showcase experiences in the Coorong National Park.

"Opportunities like this enable us to share our passion for doing what we love and inspire others to join us for a Coorong adventure like no other," Mr Carle said.
"The self-drive market is integral to the success of operators such as ourselves who are located in the regions. Without the self-drive market Canoe the Coorong wouldn't be the business it is today.

"Despite the impacts of COVID and the Murray River flooding event last summer, we have continued to grow and expand our business offerings with the purchase of our sister company Canoe the Riverland.
"Now is the best time of year to get out and experience the Coorong and the next round of the River Revival Vouchers is a great excuse to plan your next holiday in the Murray River or Coorong regions!"
