Restrictions ease, experiences start booking, long weekend of festivals & more...
Welcome news today with the removal of all density, dancing and singing restrictions in South Australia – a big tourism and hospitality boost as we head into the long weekend and celebrate our city’s world-class festival season.
The changes, announced by Police Commissioner Grant Stevens after today’s COVID Ready Committee meeting, includes removing all density limits for hospitality venues, and the return of singing and dancing.
The requirements for QR codes are also changing, and there are further changes to the rules for people who are considered close contacts.
Effective from 12.01am, Saturday 12 March:
- All density restrictions across public activities, including at home gatherings, to be removed
- QR codes no longer required for recreational transport, public transport, ride shares and taxis
- COVID-positive South Australians may now only need to isolate for seven days as opposed to 10.
