National spotlight on SA, celebrating Santos Festival of Cycling & world's best cricketing stars headed to Adelaide
A program dedicated to showcasing our state’s tourism sector will hit television screens across the country this week, as we work to stimulate bookings and boost consumer confidence in travel.
It comes as we celebrate day four of the Santos Festival of Cycling and after last week’s news that Adelaide Oval will welcome some of the world’s best cricketing superstars as part of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022.
In partnership with Network Seven, we have locked away 60 minutes of prime time viewing – including commercial air-time – to highlight our state’s diverse tourism offerings.
Hosted by Cosi from South Aussie with Cosi, together with media personalities such as SAFM’s Rebecca Morse, Adelaide restaurateurs Callum Hann and Laura Sharrad, and AFL star Charlie Dixon, the special episode will air at 7pm this Thursday state-wide on Channel 7 Adelaide and nationally on 7plus, with a national encore on 7TWO on 30 January and 2 February.
Featured tourism operators represent a broad cross-section of the industry and regions, telling their story of operating in a global pandemic – and importantly, showcasing how visitors can feel confident and safe when booking and seeing SA. You can read more about it via the media release.
I want to thank operators involved and look forward to having people tuned in from around the nation, with their eyes on our state.
During the broadcast, commercial air-time will be dedicated exclusively to tourism advertising and viewers will be directed to our southaustralia.com website or their local travel agent to plan and book in SA.
I encourage operators to check their Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) listing is up to date, to make the most of the additional traffic to the website this week.
The special episode will be supported by digital and social marketing from the SATC and our partner, Channel 7, as well as program hosts. A week of weather crosses on 7NEWS will further highlight destinations and operators across the state.
Tune in below for a special message from Cosi to our industry:
We saw last year that South Australians travelled regional SA in record numbers; we know the support is there. We’re working to re-inspire locals and entice interstaters, to get behind our industry and plan a trip in SA.
