Organisers of new and existing events across South Australia are encouraged to apply for the South Australian Tourism Commission’s Regional Event Fund 2026-27.
The Regional Event Fund encourages the development of new and innovative regional events and aims to grow existing events, while driving visitation and boosting the regional economy.
The Regional Event Fund is open for applications from midday today, Friday 27 February until 5pm, Thursday 26 March 2026.
The 2026-27 Fund will support events staged between 1 September 2026 to 31 August 2027.
The funding can be used for a range of projects, including bolstering marketing activity to help attract more event-goers, as well as improving the offerings at the event itself.
Funding is offered across two event categories:
Established Event: Funding of up to $50,000 per year for up to three years
Development Event: Funding of up to $20,000 per year for up to three years.
The SATC will host a webinar within the application period to provide support to interested operators on the application process. The free, online session will be held on Wednesday, 4 March.

South Australian Tourism Commission Chief Executive Emma Terry said the Regional Event Fund is a wonderful opportunity to further showcase our tourism regions’ unique attractions and welcoming hospitality through events and festivals.
“Whether it is an established event or one just getting started, this Fund can help enhance an event’s offering and market it far and wide to attract more visitors,” she said.
“Offering a vibrant events calendar year-round across South Australia is hugely important for our visitor economy, and the diversity and quality of our events cements our reputation as the nation’s official Best Event State."
Coonawarra Fringe Producer Belinda Redman said they were thrilled to receive funding.
“It has been instrumental in enhancing our festival,” she said.
“This support allows us to bring even more exciting performances and experiences to our festivalgoers on the Limestone Coast, ensuring a vibrant celebration of art, culture, and community that everyone can enjoy!”
