Indoor density eased, spotlight on SA, festival news & more...

Welcome news today for South Australia’s hospitality sector, with density restrictions eased for indoor seated dining and drinking.

Effective after midnight tonight, the density limit for indoor hospitality venues will ease to 50 per cent. Outdoor consumption will remain unchanged.

Premier Steven Marshall also flagged that the Treasurer is working on a support and stimulus package, and I look forward to sharing more details soon.

It follows last night’s national spotlight on South Australia, as part of a partnership with Network Seven, to showcase operators, destinations and events, and re-inspire travellers to see SA.

‘A little more SA with Cosi and friends’ aired state-wide on Channel 7 Adelaide and nationally on 7plus. It showcased SA through operator interviews, media and sporting personalities sharing their favourite SA destinations, and commercial air-time dedicated to tourism advertising.

I want to thank all operators and industry stakeholders who got involved; the feedback we’ve received has been really positive, with operators reporting increases in website traffic and booking enquiries.
