Border reopening details revealed

Good news to finish the week, it has been confirmed that fully vaccinated travellers from all local government areas in Victoria and nearly all in New South Wales – with the exception of Byron Bay Council LGA – will be able to enter South Australia from Tuesday, without quarantine.

A new simple border entry process, EntryCheck SA, will launch after 5pm today for travellers and returning South Australians wanting to enter our state from Tuesday 23 November.

The online EntryCheck SA will replace the Cross Border Travel Registration application and will assess an individual’s vaccination status, departure location and COVID-19 risk.

There are some testing requirements and daily symptom reporting to be undertaken – see details of entry conditions into SA here. You can also watch the explainer video here.

Available from 23 November, South Australians will also be able to integrate their digital COVID-19 vaccination certificate, into their mySA Gov app, making it easier for individuals to show their vaccination status at businesses, venues and events where proof of vaccination is required.

As our state’s two largest domestic markets, it is great to be welcoming back travellers from Victoria and NSW – particularly as we head into the valuable summer holiday period.

I will continue to keep you updated.
