Tasting Australia presented by Journey Beyond

Tasting Australia presented by Journey Beyond is among the nation’s longest-running eating and drinking festivals. It’s a celebration of how food and drink shape the way we live and connect.

The festival features international and Australian talent together with local heroes, taking the best of South Australia to the world through innovative, creative and thought-provoking programming and unique culinary tourism experiences.

Tasting Australia presented by Journey Beyond is led by festival directors Kane Pollard, Duncan Welgemoed, Meira Harel and Banjo Harris Plane, together with festival advisor Jessica Ducrou.

In 2025 Tasting Australia welcomed a record crowd of more than 65,000 people to its Town Square hub in Adelaide’s Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga.

In addition to Town Square, the festival spanned all 12 South Australian regions. More than 150 events were held across the state, supporting over 280 local businesses.

Acknowledgement of Country

Standing on Kaurna Country, the South Australian Tourism Commission recognises the uniquely diverse Aboriginal communities across the state.

We value the knowledge Aboriginal people hold of Country and culture and are committed to growing genuine relationships with Traditional Custodians.

We will continue our journey of reconciliation and support Aboriginal tourism operators and communities to tell their own stories and share their culture with the world.
