SANTOS TOUR DOWN UNDER

The Santos Tour Down Under is Australia’s greatest cycling race and the largest festival of cycling in the southern hemisphere. It provides an important boost to South Australia’s visitor economy, adding $54.5 million in economic value and creating 490 full-time equivalent jobs in 2024.

As the State’s most significant sporting event, the race delivers world-class cycling for men and women at the highest levels of international competition: the UCI WorldTour and UCI Women’s WorldTour respectively. Local, national and international audiences enjoy the action.

A program of associated events surrounds the race, with a festival hub, street parties, participation rides and eating and drinking experiences across central Adelaide and regional South Australia.

In 2025 the Santos Tour Down Under celebrated its 25th anniversary – honouring the people and places that have shaped the journey so far. Cycling legends including Sir Mark Cavendish, Grace Brown and Andre Greipel joined the celebration, while 286 cyclists contested close-fought stages in spectacular locations.
