An experienced marketing and advertising professional, Erik joined the South Australian Tourism Commission in July 2021.

As Executive Director of Marketing, Erik is responsible for developing and delivering marketing activity that promotes South Australia as a destination of choice to domestic and international markets. 

The current focus is on establishing an authentic and distinctive South Australian brand platform to help increase the appeal of South Australia as a compelling and desirable holiday destination.

With more than 20 years of experience in the field, Erik spent five years as CMO with the iconic San Remo Macaroni company, which followed a long career working in advertising.

Under Erik’s leadership, the South Australian Tourism Commission marketing team was awarded National Marketing Team of the Year in the 2023 Australian Marketing Institute Awards.
