Vicki-Jo has been a driving force for nature in South Australia for thirty years, consistently leading a wide range of boards, organisations, and initiatives that have shaped the state’s environmental landscape.

With tertiary qualifications in biology, psychology, and natural resource management, Vicki-Jo’s career is a strong reflection of her deep-rooted passion for nature, people, and place.

She chairs South Australia’s Parks and Wilderness Council and is the co-founder and Chair of the State’s Nature Festival, a significant, home-grown event that not only showcases the State’s remarkable natural beauty but also celebrates the special bond South Australians share with their environment.

Vicki-Jo has extensive board and committee experience and has held a number of roles with leading conservation organisations, including WWF-Australia, the Australian Marine Conservation Society, Zoos SA, and Trees For Life. She also runs a strategic planning and facilitation consultancy, offering her expertise to a variety of environmental and community-driven projects.

Known for her passion, ideas, and collaborative approach, Vicki-Jo’s contributions have earned her several recognitions, including a South Australian Premier Award for Service to Natural Resource Management and an Order of Australia.

She has completed the ‘Australian Big Lap’ twice and loves nothing more than sharing the natural wonders of our State with her teenage children, friends, and visitors, immersing herself in the beauty and diversity that South Australia has to offer.
