From 2019, South Australia’s much loved and iconic Christmas Pageant will enter into an exciting partnership with a new naming rights sponsor, seeing the event unite with an equally loved local brand.
Hon David Ridgway, Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment confirmed that from next year South Australians would be celebrating the beginning of the festive season at the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant.
“We are thrilled to see the Christmas Pageant entering into a long-term partnership with a well-respected South Australia company, National Pharmacies, from 2019,” said Minister Ridgway.
“There was strong commercial interest in the market for this partnership and it was important for Events South Australia to secure the right fit. National Pharmacies share the same values of the event and the importance of community.
“The Credit Unions have been a wonderful partner over 23 years, and we are confident that National Pharmacies are the perfect partner to move forward with from 2019 onwards,” said Minister Ridgway.
Tony Wojciechowski, Managing Director, National Pharmacies said South Australia’s National Pharmacies is extremely proud to be the new flag bearers of this unique South Australian event.
“The Christmas Pageant is a great event for children and families and that’s why we’re supporting it, because National Pharmacies exists for families. The opportunity to partner with the biggest Christmas parade of its kind that just happens to be in our very own backyard, is something we feel very passionate about and securing our involvement is a major coup for our organisation.”
“This new partnership between National Pharmacies and the Christmas Pageant brings together two uniquely South Australian brands to continue to bring Christmas joy to children and families,” said Tony Wojciechowski.
“National Pharmacies has stores across South Australia with more than 750 staff who will now have the opportunity to join in an event they have grown up with…and we’re going to find ways for National Pharmacies members to get involved too.”
Hitaf Rasheed, Executive Director, Events South Australia said, “We are thrilled to have been able to secure National Pharmacies as the naming rights partner to help us deliver this wonderful event to the people of South Australia. From 2019 the Pageant will once again entertain the hundreds of thousands who attend the event and watch it live on television as the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant.”
In the meantime, the elves at Stardust Castle are feverishly putting the finishing touches on this year’s fleet of floats for the 2018 Credit Union Christmas Pageant departing South Terrace at 9.30 am on Saturday 10 November 2018.
The South Australian Tourism Commission, and its events arm Events South Australia, sincerely thanks the four sponsor credit unions and their thousands of staff, family and friends who have all contributed to the success of this event over more than two decades.
