South Australian bushfire update – emergency information

Superloop Adelaide 500

The Superloop Adelaide 500 is Australia's largest ticketed domestic motor sport event and the first round of the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship. First held in April 1999 as the Sensational Adelaide 500, it was staged as a motor racing event over three days until being extended to four days in 2003.

An icon of the events and tourism calendar in Adelaide for the past 20 years, and the opening round of the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship, the Superloop Adelaide 500 continues to evolve and introduce exciting on and off-track attractions, as well as concerts from world-class music acts and themed exhibitions. In 2018 the event welcomed 273,500 patrons over its four days and since 1999, the event has injected $545.5 million into South Australia’s economy, creating 400 plus full-time equivalent jobs annually.
