Murray River flood
The Murray River is currently flooding as a result of high flows upstream. The advice is that it is still safe for people to travel to Murray River regions. High river flows are a way of keeping the river environment healthy, strong and sustainable.
While people are encouraged to enjoy all of the regions along the Murray River, they are reminded to be aware of the hazards, plan ahead and act responsibly. For current alerts and warnings in place, go to ses.sa.gov.au.
There are plenty of things to see and do across the Riverland and Murray River, Lakes & Coorong regions. Ring ahead to get the latest information from the local visitor information centres or speak to the businesses you plan on visiting directly.
For advice and information about the river flow, including business support grants available for operators whose trade is impacted by the floods, go to sa.gov.au/floods.
