Helen Germein Edwards has extensive experience and knowledge of regional tourism. As Chair of Adelaide Hills Tourism from 2011-2021 and Chair of the first South Australian Regional Visitor Strategy 2020, Helen has been part of collaborative industry efforts aligning the latest research on visitor trends with regional South Australia’s shared priorities about marketing, experience development, infrastructure, events and industry capability.
Helen’s Board experience in the health, education, wine and tourism sectors emphasises her ability to contribute as a team member, communicate and engage with relevant stakeholders and use creativity and courage in strategic planning.
She has a Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Development) and Graduate Diploma in Health Science (Adult Education and Counselling) from the University of South Australia. She is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors Advanced Directors Program. Helen is a Director of the National Wine Centre and Equals International, Chair of Adelaide Hills Tourism’s Wellness Project Sub Committee and is also co-founder of The Lane Vineyard, an Adelaide Hills food and wine destination.
