Regional Integrated Strategic Tourism Plans
Regional Integrated Strategic Tourism Plans have been developed for the state's 12 tourism regions.
Below are the Plans that have been prepared to date.
Adelaide Hills Tourism Plan
The Adelaide Hills Regional Strategic Tourism Plan is a joint initiative of Adelaide Hills Tourism, District Council of Mount Barker, Adelaide Hills Council, Regional Development Australia - Adelaide Hills Fleurieu and Kangaroo Island and the SATC. The Plan sets out a small number of targeted strategies and actions aimed at lifting the performance of the region’s tourism industry above that expected from trend or organic growth for the period 2011 to 2014.

Clare Valley and Barossa Tourism Regions
The project is a cooperative initiative of the South Australian Tourism Commission,
The Barossa and Light and Mid North Development Boards and the four local
Government Authorities of the Barossa, Clare and Gilbert Valleys, Goyder and
Light.

Murraylands Integrated Regional Strategic Tourism Plan
Key regional stakeholders led the development of this Plan via a steering committee, understanding and highlighting the significance of tourism to the future of this region. The stakeholders will continue to take a lead in delivering the Plan, via the Murraylands Tourism Partnership (MTO), building participation from the broader Murraylands community to achieve benefits for the region. The partners include Murraylands Regional Development Board (MRDB), Murraylands Tourism Marketing (MTM), Rural City of Murray Bridge, Mid Murray Council, Coorong District Council, District Council of Karoonda East, Murray and the Southern Mallee District Council, Houseboat Hirers Association (HHA) and the Murraylands Indigenous Consortium.

Kangaroo Island Integrated Strategic Tourism Plan
This Kangaroo Island Integrated Strategic Tourism Plan has been prepared as a collaborative initiative between the Kangaroo Island Development Board, Kangaroo Island Council, Tourism KI, Tourism Optimisation Management Model (TOMM), KI Natural Resources Management Board, South Australian Tourism Commission and the Department for Environment and Natural Resources.
The Plan was prepared by Urban and Regional Planning Solutions in association with Ecological Associates.

Riverland Integrated Strategic Tourism Plan
This Riverland Integrated Strategic Tourism Plan has been prepared as a collaborative initiative between the Riverland Development Corporation, Riverland Tourism Association, Berri-Barmera Council, Loxton-Waikerie Council, Mid Murray Council, Renmark-Paringa Council, South Australian Tourism Commission and the Department for Environment and Heritage.

Fleurieu Peninsula Integrated Strategic Tourism Plan, 2007 - 2012
The Fleurieu Peninsula Integrated Strategic Tourism Plan has been prepared as a collaborative partnership between the South Australian Tourism Commission and the Alexandrina Council, District Council of Yankalilla and the Cities of Victor Harbor and Onkaparinga.
The plan was prepared by Urban & Regional Planning Solutions, who led a consultant team which included Colmar Brunton, Ecological Associates and Barry Burgan from Economic Research Consultants. Additional assistance was provided by a Regional Leaders Forum, consisting of over 20 tourism operators, business and community leaders and representatives of the Fleurieu Peninsula Tourism Marketing Committee, Fleurieu Regional Development Board, Fleurieu Food and the McLaren Vale Grape, Wine and Tourism Association.

Flinders Ranges and Outback Integrated Strategic Tourism Plan, 2008 - 2014
This Integrated Strategic Tourism Plan has been prepared as a collaborative initiative between the Northern Region Development Board, Outback Areas Community Development Trust, Port Augusta City Council, Port Pirie Regional Council, District Council of Mount Remarkable, Flinders Ranges Council, District Council of Coober Pedy, District Council of Orroroo Carrieton, District Council of Peterborough, Southern Flinders Ranges Development Board, Flinders Ranges Tourism Operators Association, Business Port Augusta, Department for Environment and Heritage and the South Australian Tourism Commission.
An Implementation Group is driving the actions in the plan which collectively provide the future direction for tourism in the Flinders Ranges and Outback South Australia region.

The Yorke Peninsula Regional Strategic Tourism Plan 2011 – 2014 maps out a clear direction for growing the regions tourism industry. The Plan has been developed as a collaborative between Yorke Peninsula Tourism; South Australian Tourism Commission; District Councils of the Copper Coast, Yorke Peninsula, Barunga West and Mallala; Wakefield Regional Council; Regional Development Australia Yorke & Mid North and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
