Victoria Square will be the new home of this year’s Adelaide Fashion Festival, with high profile couture label Paolo Sebastian once again included in the stellar line up.
There will be 10 runways and 20 events, across five days as well as two separate Paolo Sebastian runways.
Paolo Sebastian designer Paul Vasileff is South Australian born and bred. The showing of his 2017 Autumn/Winter Couture Collection in Paris last month reinforces South Australia’s commitment to strengthening trade and investment opportunities with France.
The Adelaide Fashion Festival will be officially launched tonight at the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute where local designers Acler will feature their Spring/Summer collection.
Other designers to feature in the Festival include Liza Emanuele, Alexis George, Jaimie Sortino, Australian Fashion Labels, Naomi Murrell and Julie White.
The Festival will be held from October 19 to 23.
Adelaide Fashion Festival is presented by Mercedes-Benz Adelaide and owned and managed by the State Government.
The State Government has invested $70 million in additional tourism funding in the past two years to market South Australia nationally and internationally and attract major events and conferences. This is in addition to the $2 million over four years we have invested in the Adelaide Fashion Festival.

South Australia has some incredible talent and this year’s event is the perfect opportunity for design houses to show their works on the international and national stage.
The 2015 Festival was a huge success with more than 5000 tickets sold and this year we expect it be an even bigger and better.
Paul Vasileff is one of Australia’s premier designers and it is brilliant he will stun audiences again with his with couture label Paolo Sebastian.
He was one of the big success stories of last year’s Festival and this year there will be even more local designers who will wow the public.
Since last year’s event we have seen other local designers present collections and build connections in Paris, as well as China, Jakarta and Mumbai.
Tonight’s launch will not only showcase the Adelaide Fashion Festival program but also the State’s premium food and wine, which will feature throughout the Festival.

The AFF Runway is going to be jam-packed with the hottest trends, Adelaide’s “it” designers and cool styles that everyone will want to wear.
We have such diversity within our band of local designers, but there are many who have complimentary aesthetics.
We are really excited to have Acler as part of the program who were featured in A Night Of Fashion at the Art Gallery last year, who have gone from strength to strength in the past 18 months. The brand is being stocked nationally by Myer and has already built a celebrity fan base including Gigi Hadid and Australian fashion icon Nadia Bartel.
By matching them together and having world-renowned stylists bring the looks to life, we will certainly present runway shows unlike anything ever seen in Adelaide.
It’s exciting to see some of the icons of the South Australian fashion scene showing one moment, and emerging talent storming the runway the next.
