In a world-first, next year’s Clipsal 500 Adelaide will have a hybrid Enduro-X and Supercross track – making it one of the toughest courses riders have battled.

The New Holland Enduro-X powered by Monster Energy – which is exclusive to Adelaide - is not for the faint-hearted with some of the world’s best riders claiming it is by far the most challenging track they have seen.

Australian superstar, Toby Price, USA X-Games Gold Medallist, Mike Brown, and thirteen time women’s world champion, Laia Sanz, are just some of the world-class riders secured for the event.

With a huge field of international competitors secured for the world exclusive Enduro-X, the return of the original 2 x 250km race format, the Hilltop Hoods headlining the Friday night concert and Hunters and Collectors on Saturday night, next year’s Clipsal 500 Adelaide is going to be epic.

In 2016, the Clipsal 500 Adelaide attracted a crowd of 263,500, generating a huge $65.6 million in expenditure. More than 13,500 interstate visitors came to South Australia for the event and we want to grow that number even higher.

The State Government sees tourism and our major events – such as Clipsal 500 Adelaide - as an important part of the transformation of South Australia’s economy.

Our investments in recent years – including $70 million to market South Australia nationally and internationally and attract major events - is delivering immediate results with more visitors than ever travelling to our State - contributing almost $6 billion to our State’s economy each year.

Quotes attributable to Australian 2016 Dakar Rally Champion Toby Price

After the 2016 running of the Clipsal 500 Adelaide Enduro-X I was blown away with the support and enthusiasm from the South Australian fans. It was the first running of the event but it honestly felt like the event had been established for many years.

It was a real treat for all competitors to be able to compete on what I think is the 'Big Stage.' In 2017 Clipsal 500 Adelaide will be taking this genre of motorsport to the next level combining both Enduro-X and Supercross which is something I'm really psyched about.

Combining the two genres means we'll have two different professions banging bars over four days to take the top step of the podium.

The added adrenaline-filled race will feature each day of the Clipsal 500 Adelaide, with the major competition scheduled for Friday, March 3, 2017.
