Rick and Cathy Edmonds have been working in the accommodation business for 11 years, setting up award-winning self-catering properties in three states. Both originally from the Riverland, Rick and Cathy decided to move back home and open their first South Australian accommodation property, The Frames. “Research showed that the Riverland was overdue for something of The Frames’ calibre so we set out to produce a luxurious retreat along the River Murray with award-winning architect Paul Pruszinski,” said Cathy.

Initial concepts for The Frames were tabled in 2011 and building commenced in November 2012. By February 2014 guests were enjoying the offerings at The Frames. “You name it, we do it,” said Cathy when asked about their job entails. From answering enquiries, managing social media and marketing, attending training and other meetings to managing guest’s requests, no two days are the same for Rick and Cathy.

“Providing guests with the best possible product and service at The Frames so they will go away with an experience they will never forget” is what Rick and Cathy deem important about their job. “We are very passionate and love the area and want to share it with as many people as we can,” said Cathy. “As our favourite spot in South Australia, we particularly love the backwaters and creeks of the Murray River as well as the wildlife and birdlife”.
