Revolve24 will take place on Saturday 13 – Sunday 14 January as an associated event of the Tour Down Under 2018 - giving amateur riders an opportunity to participate in 24, 12 and 6 hour endurance relays.

The State Government is proud to sponsor Revolve24 as well as the $100 million motorsport park development at Tailem Bend – to further cement South Australia’s reputation as the best Event State in Australia.

Next year the cycling world will celebrate the TDU’s 20th edition and we want it to be bigger and better than ever. Each year we change things up to attract more visitors and to give them a better experience. We are aiming to smash attendance records and have one million people lining the routes next year to make the TDU one of the biggest events in Australian sporting history. The addition of Revolve24 adds to the TDU cycling festival and will help us achieve that.

The State Government has invested an extra $6 million into our wonderful bike race to ensure the TDU remains one of the best cycling events outside of the Tour de France.

It's no fluke that South Australia has been named Australia's best event state for the past two consecutive years.

The Bend Motorsport Park is going to be a game changer for motorsport in Australia and we are pleased to support its development and one of the first events at the new track. The Shahin family, through their Peregrine Corporation, has made a massive financial contribution to their facility and the State Government committed $7.5 million to help get the project off the ground.

We are also investing an additional $70 million to market South Australia nationally and internationally and attract major events. The hard work is paying off with our visitor economy growing by almost $2.5 million a day in the past year to reach a record $6.3 billion a year.

Our tourism sector also boasts the best jobs growth in Australia with 4,000 new tourism jobs created in the past two years.
