Managed Events

Events South Australia is responsible for the creation and development of nationally and internationally recognised events.
A designated event management team for each of these events works tirelessly throughout the year to ensure that these core events are continuously improved, with the aim that each will be even bigger and better than the last!
Events South Australia successfully manages four major events; the Credit Union Christmas Pageant, Adelaide Fashion Festival, Santos Tour Down Under and Tasting Australia.

Bringing Events to South Australia

Events South Australia identifies and researches opportunities to attract and/or develop new and existing events and actively bids or negotiates for targeted events. Events South Australia takes a strategic approach to the development of the state’s event calendar. It seeks to complement the core listing of annual events on the calendar by securing additional one-off events. These are typically major profile or mass participation events. This helps to ensure a balance of activity across the year, utilise infrastructure and services and increase the city’s economic return and vibrancy.

Event Funding and Support

Events South Australia sponsors more than 40 events annually, ranging from major events and festivals such as WOMADelaide and the Australian International 3 Day Event, through to smaller events across South Australia, as part of the Regional Events and Festivals Program.

Events South Australia aims to grow and develop the events industry. In line with this, Events South Australia conducts industry workshops and information sessions for the industry to network and share information. It facilitates workshop topics that affect all events and encourages discussion with industry leaders.
