Julie Smith has been involved in the tourism industry in the Flinders Ranges for more than 30 years operating Rawnsley Park Station with her husband Tony, since 1985. Since then they have expanded the accommodation offering at Rawnsley Park to include a caravan park, holiday units and eco villas. They also have a restaurant and shop on the property, and provide a range of 4WD tours and guided bushwalking tours.
Julie has been involved in regional tourism for the last 15 years, initially as chair of the Flinders Ranges Tourism Operators Association, then chair of Flinders Ranges and Outback Regional Tourism (FROSAT), and most recently as a board member of the SA Tourism Industry Council (SATIC).
In her spare time Julie likes to study languages, particularly French and German.
