Working at SATC

This page will give you an insight into working at the South Australian Tourism Commission.

What is it like working at the SATC?

We embrace our talented and diverse workforce here at the SATC. Within the SATC community there is a fantastic mix of technical experts, individuals with creative flair and highly skilled professionals who all work together to achieve our common goals. It is our collaboration across the teams that drives our success. Individuals here are valued and supported and it was the employees of the South Australian Tourism Commission who came together to produce our values:

Develop – our staff, our product, and our State;

Integrity – by respecting each other, being consistent with our approach to all things, being open and honest with our communication, listening and understanding our colleagues, industry and operators, and making decisions in the best interest of the State;

Courage – to make bold decisions that align to our planning, to challenge the status quo, to tell it like it is, and to take responsibility and accountability for our actions;

Enjoy – the work that we do, what we achieve, and the environment and industry we work in; and

Support – each other, the State Tourism Plan, SATC Corporate Plan Operational Unit Plans, government at all levels, the industry and stakeholders

What we look for

Bringing new talent on board is very exciting so we want to make sure that you have the skills to do the role and that you’ll fit right in to the SATC community.

The position description in the job advertisement will outline the technical skills, competencies and experiences that we require for a certain role. Our position descriptions include a lot of detail but you can get in touch with the named contact if you want some extra information.

Being part of the team and embracing our shared love of South Australia is what we look for in prospective employees. Innovation and inspiration is key here and we seek out people whose technical skills and quality experience will facilitate the success of their projects, their team and the whole of the SATC. Self-starters who are collaborative and flexible will be welcomed into the SATC community. Above all, we look for employees who will embody and promote our corporate values.
